The Down syndrome awareness walk is an event that involves our community in celebrating the potential and achievements of individuals with Down syndrome.  The goal of the walk is to promote inclusion and acceptance of people with Down syndrome.  It is also a fundraiser to support the Down Syndrome Family Network and other local Down syndrome support groups.  The walk is a 1 mile non-competitive walk in which anyone can participate without special training.
